Occupational Licensing

Find requirements for training providers; for a renewal, a new, or replacement license or registration. Register to take an exam, and find training and continuing education courses.

NEW As of May 15, 2025, Texas DPS requires a Computerized Criminal History (CCH) Verification form to be signed and submitted with EVERY new and renewal license application, unless you are subscribed to fingerprints. Applications missing the form will be deemed deficient, resulting in delays in processing. To avoid delays and the need to acknowledge this form again in the future, TCEQ strongly encourages subscribe to fingerprinting.

NEW Licensees can now authorize the release of their contact information. Consenting to making your information available to the public is completely voluntary and may allow potential customers and employers to reach you. Please complete the Authorization to Release/Display Confidential License Contact Information form if you wish to have your information be made available on TCEQ's Website.  You may revoke this authorization at any time.

Starting January 2025, Occupational Licensing letters (Exam Analysis, Approval and/or Deficiency letters) will be sent electronically to the email address we have on file. If there is no email address on file, we will mail it to the address on file. To ensure you receive these important communications, please complete the electronic Update Contact Information form to provide a current and valid email and mailing address, which will replace any existing addresses we have.
